Serving the Seacoast

We think practical acts of service are one of the best ways to show God's love. That's why serving the Seacoast community is a big deal for us. We believe that we haven't just been called to have nice church services but that God wants to bless the seacoast community through a community of people living out their faith, blessing the seacoast, and serving the disadvantaged.

Check out some of the stuff we're up to on a block near you.

Trash Team!

Market Square Day is the biggest event on the Portsmouth calendar. Big events bring lots of people and lots of money to the community. But they also bring lots of trash! That's why we're here. Since 2004, our members have been the ones volunteering to pick up all the trash and recycling, which takes a small army! Want to be on the trash team? REBUILD Portsmouth

From the people and the art to it's natural beauty and vibrant community, Portsmouth NH is a great city.  And yet, many people feel disconnected from those around them and isolated from the community at large.  While there is a desire to serve alongside others in the community, it is difficult to find an outlet. That's why we started REBUILD Portsmouth.

Rebuild is not community service - it's community renewal.  Our goal is to serve the forgotten parts of the city we love.  As we work side by side with neighbors and friends that we invite, we will see the community rebuilt, not only physically, but relationally and spiritually.

We started REBUILD in 2009 and had a great time repainting the Connie Bean Center and doing much needed landscaping work in some of the local parks.  We are excited about the new ways we will be able to serve the city this year. Learn more by clicking here.

Restore61

Restore61 is a non-profit we started to formalize our work with the disadvantaged in Portsmouth. The services we provide are informal and varied - from helping connect needy people with available services to providing food, clothing and temporary shelter to helping industrious homeless people start small businesses (and much more!) We are looking to see lives transformed, one person at a time. Find out more about Restore61 by clicking here.
