We believe God is inviting us into a season of prayer.
As a church, we often gather to pray - whether that is praying together or for one another on a Sunday, gathering midweek at the Underground or gathering the leaders to pray and seek God together. We believe God loves to speak with us, meet with us, transform and empower us. We don't pray in order to gain more favor with him or to twist his arm. We believe, like George Muller, that prayer is not about overcoming God's reluctance but laying hold of his willingness.
Recently, we have sensed God inviting us into a dedicated season of prayer. There have been some prophetic words recently about God coming like a wave and that the wave was at it's crest. In the midst of the crest, God said, "Are you ready?" We felt, in response, to set aside time to pray together as a church, within our communities and personally before God.
If you are interested in learning more about fasting, Ian Ashby will be spending some time at 7pm on Tuesday, January 24th at the Underground to discuss the history of various forms of fasting and to field your questions. You can RSVP on the City.
Please speak to your community group leader to discover how you can participate in this season of the church.
